Posted: 20 Dec 2010 07:53 AM PST Even though some of these stamps are not so vintage, most of them are from the 70's with strong designs from all over the world including some amazing pieces from switzerland. It's really nice to see and compare what they were doing back them without half of the technology that we have now days. Enjoy!<!--break--> These stamps were found at Adapt or Die Flickr gallery, visit them for more. |
Posted: 19 Dec 2010 07:30 PM PST We've seen some great gadgets and equipment for designers. So many cool stuff, that we could actually assemble infinite perfect office spaces! Every week we'll assemble a perfect office, and we'd like you to help us. What equipment would the perfect office have?<!--break--> Not only gadgets and equipment, but also furniture, sound system, gaming stuff (for lunch time!). A designer is totally allowed to dream with the perfect office, and that's what we're gonna do here! Also, tell us your suggestions, or even better, you may tell us via twitter (mine and fabio's), using #abdz_ofc so we can check it. Alright? I hope you guys enjoy this brief selection. Cheers! ;) Refrigerator Upgrade MagnetThis magnet looks just like one of those fancy ice and water dispensers found on the door of most high-end refrigerators. (at 7 Gadgets) Domino ClockThe Domino Clock by Carbon Design Group takes a simple, iconic object and transforms it into a new way to tell time. The concept is simple. Three larger-than-life dominoes are equipped with articulating "dots" that flip back-and-forth between black and white to keep time. They hang on the wall or stand free, communicating wirelessly as they quietly mark the passing hours and minutes. By subtly abstracting the idea of time, Carbon's Domino Clock creates a more relaxing experience. (at Design Spotter) Starlight LampA table lamp inspired by the stars in the night sky with a flexible, polygonal LED-studded light source and shade. The lamp has a simple metal base topped with an adjustable structure that incorporates 126 LEDs. (at Moco Loco) Tron Legacy Disc SkinDoesn't need a description. Simply amazing. (at Skinit) Monster TRON iPod Identity Disc iPod DockIf you don't want to keep Daft Punk confined to your headphones, check out the Monster TRON iPod Identity Disc iPod dock. Inspired by the TRON data disk, the iPod/iPhone audio dock provides stunning lighting effects and high quality audio. It has a total of five drivers and one 3.5-inch long-throw woofer. It has high intensity dual pipe lightning rings with microprocessor controlled lighting effects. (at Gearlog) Super Talent's 600GB USB 3.0 StorageLooking for a little zip in your next portable hard drive? Look no further than Super Talent's latest, the svelte USB 3.0 Storage Pod. As you've likely pieced together by now, that ultraslim black box above contains a 500GB hard drive and the appropriate circuity to transfer files using SuperSpeed USB, or right around ten times faster than USB 2.0. It's completely bus-powered, too, so don't bother packing an AC adapter. The company claims that it'll pass along files at up to 90MB/sec (vid at Engadget), and if you're already sold, you can fetch one yourself next month. (at Engadget) |
Jason Limon Unique and Stunning Artworks Posted: 19 Dec 2010 07:26 PM PST Jason Limon is an artist based in San Antonio, Texas, his paintings and drawings have a particular identity, really hard to explain, I could define it as something between dark, grunge, but also something between charming and pretty. The glossy, rounded and cute eyes are the main signature of his artworks.
You can see more artworks from Jason Limon accessing his Flickr or his website. |
